This site is intended for people who love taking photographs for the pleasure it can give and maybe the profit that can be made.
The above photograph was taken on the morning of Good Friday 2002 as I was entering the village of Watton at Stone. A light mist still hung over the ground as I approached the church. A proud cock pheasant sat surveying his domain from the top of the gate.
Slowly I crept closer, taking a couple of shots then moving closer. Then a car passed hooting its horn and shattering the peace and frightening the pheasant into flight.
I intend to use the above photograph for my personal Christmas card this year. Printed by an Epson printer on the 260gsm gloss photo ink jet paper from Jessops, cards that rival any you can buy from the store can be produced. Using Photoshop I design my layout (photo and text) then print an A5 image onto a sheet of A4 paper. So when it is folded the photograph is on the cover. I then print the message on a separate piece of paper, (copy paper is good enough for this), and insert it into the middle. This is held in place by using a Pritt stick to apply a run of glue down the internal crease.
And there you are, a professional looking card, and because it is personal, better than any thing you could buy in the shops.
